We were a bit put off by the annoying 30-minute demo limit, but after a few run-throughs, you'll probably want to buy the full version anyway. You can draw your waveforms by hand or choose from Absynth's collection to make the complicated process much easier. We like the straightforward nature of the interface, which lets you choose presets quickly and play with waveform, envelope, and oscillator channels to shape new sounds. The version we tested doesn't come with the full array of presets, but the demo library of close to 150 sounds is more than enough to speak to Absynth's amazing sound diversity.
